By sending the ships home we are securing a vital source off steel and we put to use the full potential of Norwegian ship yards.
Nordic Circles has pioneered a circular method for up cycling steel from ships and oil rigs into CE-marked construction products, achieving over 90% CO₂ savings. The upcycled steel has 10 times the market value of scrap steel.
Together with the consortium Oppsirk they are industrializing an industry producing the world’s most environmental friendly steel products.

The consortium represent an entire new circular value chain between shipping, maritime, steel, finance and construction industries. We are awarded the Green Platform grant, with a total market value of 17 million Euro to realize the full potential of the industry.
